Exclusive Cape and Kruger Experience

Day 1:
ARRIVE IN CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA

After your arrival, you’ll be transported to the iconic Table Mountain. The cable car is the quickest way to the top, where you can walk along the paths and marvel at the wonder that is the Cape Peninsula. The Cape weather is extremely temperamental and advantage will be taken at any opportunity of clear weather to see the spectacular view from the top of the mountain. A light lunch or snack is available on the mountain. After this, check in to the accommodation and spend the remainder of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 2:
ROBBEN ISLAND DAY TRIP

After breakfast at your hotel you’ll embark on a ferry tip towards the infamous Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela and other struggle heroes were imprisoned during Apartheid. The route includes a guided tour through the prison, allowing you to experience the cells where Mandela and thousands of other freedom fighters were incarcerated. After lunch at the V&A Waterfront, overlooking the crisp blue sea, you will have the opportunity to visit the Two Oceans Aquarium and maybe even witness penguin feeding time too.

Day 3:
CAPE TOUR

After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll embark on your journey towards the most South Western Point of Africa – Cape Point. Explore the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve at its best, with magnificent fynbos vegetation, bird life, endemic antelope species and zebra, historic lighthouses and shipwrecks. Cape Point is the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans..

The road trip along the Atlantic Seaboard showcases the Western Cape’s magnificent beaches, breathtaking views, historic and picturesque coastal villages. The Cape Peninsula is one of the world’s most scenic areas and stretches from the City centre to Cape Point.

After lunch at a nearby restaurant (not included in cost), we go on to historic Simon’s Town, a village with charming Victorian architecture, a naval base and a large penguin colony at the beautiful Boulders Beach. Your day exploring the coast ends at the memorable Kirstenbosch Gardens, the perfect end to the unforgettable experience of the Cape Point.

Day 4:
WINELANDS DAY TOUR

This day you will venture slightly north into Wine Country visiting a few wineries in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, while also taking in the picturesque scenery along the way. You can also do wine pairings, with chocolate or cheese, and experience some of South Africa’s premier and world-renowned wines.

Optionally, you can also visit the Franschhoek Motor Museum and see some the world’s rarest cars, all part of a private collection and a lovely wine farm. You will head back to Cape Town in the early afternoon - just in time for a lovely champagne sunset cruise through the harbour and surrounds to see the beautiful Table Mountain with its unmistakable silhouette in the golden sunset.

Day 5:
TRANSFER TO JOHANNESBURG

Spend the morning relaxing and shopping: taking in the sea air, the atmosphere, the charm of Cape Town, before leaving for the airport. Fly to Johannesburg and get collected by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your flight time, upon arrival, you could enjoy a short city tour.

Day 6:
TRANSFER TO KAPAMA PRIVATE GAME RESERVE

Today your tour heads for the Panorama route up the escarpment with stops at Graskop, God’s Window, Bourkes Luck Potholes and the Three Rondawels. This is followed by a drive down Abel Erasmus Pass, through to Hoedspruit, where you’ll sleep at Karula Camp in Kapama in the middle of the Lowveld.

Optional: a private charter flight from OR Tambo International Airport directly to Kapama Karula can be arranged.

Day 7:
SAFARI: KAPAMA PRIVATE GAME RESERVE

Spend the day touring with an early morning game drive followed by a hearty breakfast and some leisure time before lunch and an afternoon game drive followed by dinner.

Day 8:
TRANSFER TO MALA MALA GAME RESERVE

After your final early morning game drive at Karula and a delicious breakfast, we will leave the reserve and head south towards Sabi Game Reserve where you will stay at Rattray’s on Mala Mala. This is part of the Great Kruger National Park and rich in leopards, the rarest of the Big 5 to spot in the wild.

Day 9:
SAFARI MALA MALA GAME RESERVE

Spend the day touring with an early morning game drive followed by a hearty breakfast and some leisure time before lunch and an afternoon game drive followed by dinner.

Day 10:
TRANSFER TO JOHANNESBURG

After breakfast you will then head out of the Park and will take a route that meanders through some spectacular areas and historically interesting locations, climbing up the escarpment from the warm and thorny Lowveld to the more forested and cooler climes of the Highveld to Johannesburg once again.
