Day 1:

After your arrival, you’ll be transported to the iconic Table Mountain. The cable car is the quickest way to the top, where you can walk along the paths and marvel at the wonder that is the Cape Peninsula. A light lunch or snack is available on the mountain.

Take the rest of the afternoon exploring the V&A Waterfront which boasts five different shopping districts, and many boutiques and upper-market shop fronts. The V&A Waterfront has a little something for everyone. While parents are enjoying a glass of wine overlooking the harbour, the kids can explore the Two Oceans Aquarium, the Scratch Pad or enjoy the chance to ride The Cape Wheel.

Day 2:

After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll embark on a ferry tip towards the infamous Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela and other struggle heroes were imprisoned during Apartheid. The route includes a guided tour through the prison, allowing you to experience the cells where Mandela and thousands of other freedom fighters were incarcerated.

After lunch at the V&A Waterfront (a glass of some of South Africa’s premier wines goes down very well when you’re overlooking the harbour), you will have the opportunity to visit the Two Oceans Aquarium and maybe even witness feeding time.

Day 3:

After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll embark on your journey towards the most South Western Point of Africa – Cape Point. Explore the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve at its best, with magnificent fynbos vegetation, bird life, endemic antelope species and zebra, historic lighthouses and shipwrecks. Cape Point is the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.

The road trip along the Atlantic Seaboard showcases the Western Cape’s magnificent beaches, breathtaking views, historic and picturesque coastal villages. The Cape Peninsula is one of the world’s most scenic areas and stretches from the City centre to Cape Point.

After lunch at a nearby restaurant (not included in cost), we go on to historic Simon’s Town, a village with charming Victorian architecture, a naval base and a large penguin colony at the beautiful Boulders Beach. Your day exploring the coast ends at the memorable Kirstenbosch Gardens, the perfect end to the unforgettable experience of the Cape Point.

Day 4:

This day you will venture slightly north into Wine Country visiting a few wineries in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, while also taking in the picturesque scenery along the way. You can also do wine pairings, with chocolate or cheese, and experience some of South Africa’s premier and world-renowned wines.

Optionally, you can also visit the Franschhoek Motor Museum and see some the world’s rarest cars, all part of a private collection and a lovely wine farm. You will head back to Cape Town in the early afternoon - just in time for a lovely champagne sunset cruise through the harbour and surrounds to see the beautiful Table Mountain with its unmistakable silhouette in the golden sunset.

Day 5:

Spend the morning relaxing and shopping, taking in the sea air, the atmosphere, the charm of Cape Town before leaving for the airport. Fly to Johannesburg for your direct flight home.
