Day 1:

Welcome to the economic heart of South Africa, the beating urban heart – Johannesburg. After your flight to the City of Gold, you will be transported to your accommodation for the evening, the luxurious Peech Boutique Hotel.

Enjoy the rest of the afternoon relaxing and sipping on a glass of South Africa’s famous wine around the crystal swimming pool or wandering around the one-acre lush gardens on site.

Day 2:

After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll be taken on a four-hour road trip towards the Kruger National Park, one of South Africa’s gems packed with wildlife. The Panorama route allows you to explore stops at Graskop, Gods Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Three Rondawels.

After your adventurous afternoon, enjoy the rest of the evening revelling in the beauty of your accommodation for your stay in the Kruger National Park - The Bushveld Terrace Hotel on Kruger.

Day 3:

Today you will experience a full day game drive in the central parts of the Kruger National Park while trying to spot the Big Five amongst the brush and leopard trees.

Did you know? At 2 000 000 hectares, the Kruger National Park is about the same size as the whole of Israel, a little smaller than Belgium and about a third of the size of Ireland. It is home to 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds and 147 mammal species.

Day 4:

Enjoy an early morning game drive in the brisk bushveld air. This type of safari is the best for spotting wildlife as temperatures are cool and animals are still active from hunts the night before.

You will explore the central grassland region of the Park which is known for its large concentration of predators, especially lions.

Day 5:

After breakfast, you will travel towards Kapama Private Game Reserve where the majestic northern Drakensburg will be your backdrop for the next few days.

Enjoy a scheduled game drive for the afternoon and take the rest of the evening to marvel at the beauty of the African bush.

Day 6:

This day will start off with an early morning game drive through this unique and private game reserve, with a halfway stop for beverages and snacks. After your game drive enjoy a full breakfast at the Camp.

Your accommodation for the evening - Kapama Southern Camp - offers two daily game drives, which can be replaced with a guided bush walk. For your afternoon activity, either of these activities can be arranged.

Day 7:

After a gourmet breakfast you will head out of the Park in a meandering route through some rather spectacular areas and historically interesting locations, climbing up the escarpment from the warm and thorny Lowveld to the more forested and cooler climes of the Highveld, back to Johannesburg once again.

Day 8:

Enjoy a full day exploring Lesedi Cultural Village. Browse the Ndebele village and craft markets where Ndebele murals decorate both the walls and courtyard.

You will attend a multi-visual theatre presentation on the history and origin of African people, followed by a guided tour of five traditional homesteads namely:

  • Zulu
  • Xhosa
  • Basotho
  • Ndebele and
  • Pedi

You will also experience The Giant Ingoma – a song and dance of all five villages.

A delicious Pan African Feast is served in the Nyama Choma restaurant with delicacies from North, East and South Africa for you to enjoy.

Day 9:

Enjoy a scenic 40-minute car ride from your hotel in Johannesburg to Soweto, a sprawling township bordering the city’s mining belt in the South and an important locus for many significant moments in South Africa’s history.

You will start the tour off by driving past the Soweto Baragwanath hospital, followed by a tour of Regina Mundi Catholic church, the largest Catholic church in South Africa. After this, you’ll walk on the historic route that the children marched during the Soweto uprising, and then go to the Hector Pietersen Memorial Museum.

Then on to the vibrant Vilakazi street which housed Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela, and experience the Mandela House Museum.

Enjoy a delicious African buffet lunch at Sakhumzis Restaurant before your trip back to The Peech Boutique Hotel in Johannesburg.

Day 10:

After breakfast, you’ll travel toward the Waterberg mountains to experience a full day of adventures with elephants. This day includes interacting with elephants where you can learn how the magnificent creatures understand and learn, test how good an elephant’s memory is, and experience a short elephant back safari.

During the summer months, an optional swim with elephants can be arranged!

Enjoy a scrumptious lunch at the adjoining Zebula lodge on your own account. After lunch, a visit to the small reptile park on site is arranged.

Day 11:

After breakfast, you will be transported to the airport in Johannesburg to board your brief flight to Cape Town.

After your arrival, you will be transported to Table Mountain. The cable car is the quickest way to the top, where you can walk along the paths and marvel at the wonder that is the Cape Peninsula. A light lunch or snack is available on the mountain.

Take the rest of the afternoon exploring the V&A Waterfront which boasts five different shopping districts, and many boutiques and upper-market shop fronts. The V&A Waterfront has a little something for everyone. While parents are enjoying a glass of wine overlooking the harbour, the kids can explore the Two Oceans Aquarium, the Scratch Pad or ride The Cape Wheel.

Day 12:

After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll embark on your journey towards the most South Western Point of Africa – Cape Point. Explore the Cape of Good Hope nature reserve at its best with its magnificent beaches, breath-taking views and historic and picturesque coastal villages.

After lunch at a nearby restaurant, you’ll experience the history of Simon’s Town, a village with charming Victorian architecture and a naval base.

Enjoy the rest of the day being entertained by the penguins on beautiful Boulders beach.

Day 13:

Today you will venture into South Africa’s extraordinary Wine Country, visiting a few picturesque wine farms before arriving in Stellenbosch, South Africa’s oldest town known for its beautiful Cape Dutch Architecture and many prestige restaurants.

On the wine farms, we highly recommend trying a gourmet chocolate and wine pairing.

Day 14:

Enjoy the morning at your own leisure exploring the trendy city of Cape Town.

After an early lunch, you will be transported to the airport and catch an evening flight back home.
